Karaoke can be added to our disco or just booked by itself.  We use a CDG karaoke system with around 5000 tracks to choose from.  The choice of songs on karaoke covers the 50's 60's 70's 80's 90's 00's up to this years chart music.  All our karaoke songs are in alphabetical order and placed in 8 soundwaves karaoke books, these are spread around the room for customers to look at.   We use 2 x LCD 26" screens.  The lyrics of the song chosen is displayed on both screens.  One screen for the singer or singers to sing from and the second screen for the audience to see.  We use quality behringer microphones and a professional karaoke behringer mixer with karaoke effects (echo & re-verb).  This system is powered through our disco system creating a  fantastic crisp sound for singers.

Due to our huge range of great karaoke songs, soundwaves karaoke suits all age ranges.  From 5th birthdays to 90th birthdays, as with the disco we have just about done them all.   

As with the disco there are many karaoke services out there.  Again be very careful when shopping around for quotes.  Some karaoke systems have just a few hundred songs, some will just use a 14" TV for singers to read from and nothing for the audience to see.  Others buy cheap poor sounding microphones and plug them through a standard disco mixer, NOT GOOD. Others claim that laptops are the bee's knee's, they can be OK, however we have often heard that the quality of the backing tracks that have been used on a laptop can be poor in the first place.  Here at soundwaves after years of trying and testing various karaoke equipment, we feel our karaoke is about as good as it gets.
